Cochrane rugby has been developing for the past four years and this season saw the introduction of High School rugby to the small town about 25 kms NW of Calgary. Combining players from the two RockyView schools, Bow Valley High and Cochrane High, normally competitors in other sports, the Cochrane Blues have tasted success in their inaugural season. Entered into the Development League of the South Central Gentlemen’s Rugby Union, the Blues have an enviable track record of four played, no losses, 268 points for and none against.

Rick Bourne, President of Rugby Canada had generously donated a Langara Fishing Adventure to RAMOA/Rugby Alberta for its Silent Auction and Raffle.  The Silent Auction was held at Shark Club in Edmonton on May 30 and to date the prize for the Fishing Adventure is yet to be drawn for.  Only twelve squares remain to be sold. 
One square is $35, 3 squares for $100, 5 squares for $150  Value of this prize is over $4000.  Don't hesitate to call or email today to get in on this raffle.  The draw will take place on Thursday July 7 (earlier if all squares are sold).
