High School Rugby Tournament
The County Central High School Boys and Girls Rugby Club would like to invite your team to the 16th Annual Rugby Tournament
Tournament Details
1. Date: May 7/8, 2010- Friday and Saturday. Start time Friday is noon.
2. Place: County Central High Sportsfield and Champion Junior High School. Champion is 15 km south of Vulcan. The CCHS Sportsfield is located on the southeast corner of town.
3. Teams: maximum 8 boys teams and 8 girls teams. Teams will be confirmed as they are entered. First 8 to reply and have tournament fees sent. Teams are confirmed upon receipt of fees. All teams must be school teams. No club teams are allowed. IRB Rules for U-19 will be in effect.
4. Format- Eight teams divided into two pools of four with a round robin in each pool. Two games will be played Friday and two games to be played on Saturday. The round robin results will place you in one of four Division Finals. There will be a trophy for each of the division winners
5. Games: all games will be 20 min halves in duration with a 3 min half time. Position for playoffs will be decided by win-loss records. A two team tie after round robin will be decided by the game between the two teams. A three team tie will be decided by penalty kicks.
6. Entry Fee: $200.00 per team to cover awards. Cheques to be made out to CCHS Sports Council
7. Concessions: A concession will be available at both fields. Champion will be a pop and chips format while the one in Vulcan will offer hot items as well.
8. Dance: On the Friday following the games there will be a dance at the Vulcan CRC. The cost per team will be $100.00 or you can pay as individuals: $7.00. If paying as a team you must arrive as a team. A chaperone from each school must be present during the dance. Doors close at 9:00pm. If a person leaves after that time they are not allowed back in.
9. Accommodations: Some teams may desire accommodations instead of driving both days. Accommodations are at a premium in Vulcan as our motels service crews. Reservations will be hard to come by so book early.

10. School Accommodations- over the years many schools have stayed at the school in the classrooms. This will be the case again this year. If you wish to save money please feel free to request a classroom to stay in. Just bring sleeping gear.
