General

We are very excited to once again deliver rugby across the province in a safe way for all that are involved. Please be sure to make use of the available resources so we are all able to best keep our teammates, families and communities safe. Above is an overview of the five phases of return to play that have been set out by Rugby Canada.

Although the Province of Alberta and Alberta Health Services would allow for Phase 3 play to begin, we have decided to start off in Phase 2, with the goal of moving to Phase 3 in early August. Since most of us have not played in a team-sports setting in quite a while, we want to gradually return to play to have all players and coaches properly adjusted to taking the pitch.

Be sure to reach out to your individual club to find out their specific plans for return to play, and use the information we have provided to you to fully understand what rugby will look like in Alberta going forward.

At Rugby Alberta, our main objective is to serve our members, so do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@rugbyalberta.com with any questions you may have about the Return to Play process. We want to keep everyone safe and healthy, and the best way to do that is ensuring we all understand the necessary steps and procedures for getting back on the pitch.
