    Location: Edmonton, AB
    Job Type: Volunteer, Full-Time (July 6 – 19, 2025)

    Position Summary
    Reporting to Rugby Canada’s Coordinator of Team Services, the Team Liaison Officer (TLO) will serve as the primary point of contact between Rugby Canada and an international men’s rugby team during the 2025 Summer Test Series in Edmonton, AB. This volunteer position is an opportunity to gain firsthand experience supporting high-performance international sport, ensuring visiting teams have an exceptional experience in Canada.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the official host and main contact for a visiting international team.

    • Liaise between the Team Manager and Rugby Canada to support team needs.

    • Assist with team logistics, including transport, meals, and schedules.

    • Provide local knowledge to ensure smooth integration and cultural comfort.

    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

    • Travel with the team as needed throughout their stay.

    • Be available and responsive throughout the duration of the event.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Language Skills: Fluent in English; Spanish is an asset (especially if assigned to Spain).

    • Cultural Familiarity: Understanding of the customs and traditions of the visiting team’s country.

    • Local Knowledge: Familiar with services and amenities in Edmonton.

    • Problem Solving: Able to function independently and calmly under pressure.

    • Professionalism: Strong communication skills and the ability to work with elite athletes and staff.

    • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 45 lbs to assist with equipment as needed.

    • Commitment: Available full-time during the event (July 6-19, 2025).

    Work Environment & Expectations

    • Volunteer, full-time role for 1-2 weeks depending on assignment.

    • Based in Edmonton, Alberta.

    • Must be punctual, responsive, and maintain a high level of professionalism.

    • Required to be on-site and on-call for the duration of the team’s stay.

    • Casual dress provided (Rugby Canada kit).
